Bexhill has an excellent seafront with easy free parking and an award winning beach. The promenade stretches for miles and offers spectacular views. Bexhill has a host of seafront restaurants and international cuisine is readily available and all within walking distance of The Old Manse Bed and Breakfast.
There are facilities for many sports including tennis, bowls, squash and swimming together with two outstanding golf clubs, The Cooden Beach and The Highwoods.
Bexhill is renowned as the "birthplace" of british motor racing and hosted the first British motor race meeting in 1902.

Hastings Town

Just a 15 minute train journey east of Bexhill takes you to Hastings.
Hastings has lots of attractions to amuse the whole family. The Old Town provides quaint shops, fishing huts and cafe's and something a little out of the ordinary.

Eastbourne and Pier

A 20 minute train journey to the west takes you to Eastbourne to enjoy the popular seafront and pier, its theatres, tennis week and brilliant air show in August. |

Rye (20 mins train ride east of Hastings)
Rye is full of charm and steeped in history
and ancient tradition. Stranded on a hill top, trapped centuries
ago by the sea, Rye was once bustling with merchants, sailors, pirates
and smugglers. There are breathtaking views across the Romney Marsh and wonderful
houses and shops from every period jostle together along the narrow
cobbled streets.
